Passenger let her go words2/29/2024 Passenger’s song has 14 stanza’s or verses and the majority of them has a rhyme scheme that goes aaa (low, home, go) bbb (glass, last, fast) ccc (eyes, why, dies) and so on. An example of the descriptive imagery he uses is, “staring at the ceiling in the dark, same old empty feeling in your heart.” In that example he creates an image using your sight and feeling. ![]() Another piece of figurative language he uses is alliteration with a repeating ‘s’ sound “only miss the sun when it starts to snow.” The alliteration in this song seems to help with the flow of the lyrics. In the song he expresses how much he regrets letting her go with his heartbroken and sad tone as well as repeating “let her go” many times, an example of repetition. He is trying to say that whenever you get involved in something you accidently mess it all up. “Everything you touch surely dies” is a hyperbole because you can’t kill everything by just touching it. He expands on the statement that you don’t realize what you have until it’s gone with all of these comparisons to the main idea “Only know you love her when you let her go.” The song also contains lots of figurative language and imagery.
